January was a very disrupted month – so much so that I had to think hard about what cameras were used when… or if! The Fujifilm X-Pro2 didn’t do any photography but its memory card was borrowed for saving scanned documents in the latter half of the month.

As usual, working from oldest to most recent, here we go with the Last on the Card for Brian’s Challenge…

On the Moto g50, we have a selfie…

…Taken to send to the storage company on the 17th as they needed one for their records when we hired a room for Victor’s things. I would have sent them my Freedom Pass photo but I was on the wrong pc at the time and I really couldn’t be bothered to go hunting for it – If I look frazzled, I was πŸ™„

I was able to get out and about on my own account on the 30th and took this shot with the Fujifilm X-H2s whilst waiting for a train at Greenwich…

…700044 is arriving with a Luton to Rainham service. The structure framing it is the mechanism of the Deptford Creek Lifting Bridge. A lifting bridge was required to allow the passage of Thames Sailing Barges which used the creek to access the wharves at Deptford Bridge. The original bridge was built in 1838, replaced in 1884 and once again in 1963. It is no longer possible to raise the bridge but the need to do so has passed, along with the Thames Sailing Barge, into distant memory. The bridge will remain though as it is now Grade II listed.

Finally my last gaming screenshot of the month from American Truck Sim, captured on the 31st at 12:33…

…This is my latest addition to fleet, a Western Star 5700XE. These are out of production so they can only be bought second-hand in the game. The truck has 525k miles on the clock but has been fully restored at great expense. In this view it is hauling a JCB 457 Wheel Loader along Interstate 40 near Needles, California, close to the border with Arizona.

  1. Yes a frazzled look indeed martin. I love the light and the composition in the train photo. Thanks for the bit of history as well.

    Thanks for joining in πŸ˜€

    1. Np Brian – Glad to take part πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

  2. […] route is subject to Grade II listed status. I shared a photo of 700044 arriving at Greenwich in my Last on the Card post but here’s a different crop of that […]

  3. That’s a very fun selfie, Martin And quite a surprise. I did expect trains. πŸ˜‰

    1. 🀣 – Well there is one πŸ˜… I don’t normally use the mobile phone for trains – it just doesn’t respond quickly enough πŸ™„ As for the selfie, it wasn’t fun at the time but I can have a giggle at it now. Hope you are keeping well Debra and finding some light at the end of the tunnel πŸ‘

      1. It’s day by day…but I am so appreciative of the support. Thank you, Martin.
