Middle of the month and time to join in with Clare’s Share Your Desktop Challengeππ
Starting with the usual Gaming PC desktop. But first, some background. The precursor to November is Halloween and every year lots of people carve holes in Pumpkins, put on scary outfits and send their kids out to intimidate their neighbours. Of course SCS Software encourage such behaviour in our virtual world by running a ‘Happy Hauloween’ event every year. At the start of the event I decided that I wasn’t going to repaint one of my existing trucks. So I bought a second-hand Peterbilt 389 with the intention of selling it on after the event concluded. After a couple of drives I decided that I would be keeping the truck and implemented some upgrades and a new paint-scheme. Finished in a dark violet and white, the truck is named Nightshade. My desktop is a screenshot from the 31st of October…
…when we were driving from Wichita Falls to Wichita carrying Halloween Treats and enjoying a glorious sunset ππ
On the Photo PC – More transport as usualπ Here’s a shot of 66957 drifting through Stratford as the driver waits for the signal ahead to clear…
…That’s the way that things are supposed to be – The junction ahead has a max speed of 20mph so the signals are used to ensure compliance. 66957 is currently the highest numbered Class 66 on the network and is named after the Stephenson Locomotive Society which celebrated its centenary in 2009. The train is heading to Doncaster from the London Gateway intermodal port. The young lady on the left was looking for her Southend train and was, for once, on the right platformπ
This month I’ve changed my mobile phone desktop – doesn’t happen often – and I’ll put my hand up and admit I only did it yesterday. This shot was taken at Battersea Park…
…But the full story is going to have to wait until my weekly spotting post… Sorry Clare ππ π
