Here we go again with Clare’s Share Your Desktop Challenge😎 This is one of those fun challenges which doesn’t require a lot of effort, so why not join in the fun!
Going in the usual order; on my Gaming PC we have a screenshot from American Truck Simulator…
…Old stager Smoky Bennett is hefting a Volvo articulated spoil remover through Oakland in a newly rebuilt section of the California map. Smoky’s a Kenworth K100 with 500 horses and a 13speed manual gearbox with no retarder, so I have to think a long way ahead when driving this truck😅 SCS Software have been slowly updating the California map for some time – they’ve got as far south as Fresno and Huron. Soon we’ll be seeing a new version of Bakersfield and LA👍
On the Photo PC – As documented in my most recent Spotting post, I have been out getting shots of the Class 455 units before their late but inevitable demise. I had hoped to catch some nice shots on the section down to Ewell West, but several of the stations are building sites as South Western Railway are making most of their stations step-free. That’s a temporary inconvenience for me but a good step forward for many of the travelling public. Motspur Park is currently one such building site and has lost its iconic footbridge, reducing photo opportunities further. However, I was able to get a shot of Class 455 no 5903 approaching from Raynes Park…
…I remember these entering service in 1982. It’ll be a strange world once they’ve gone…
