Middle of the month so it’s time to join in with Clare’s Share your Desktop Challenge once more๐Ÿ˜Ž

Starting with the Gaming PC – It’s been a busy 4 weeks in Euro Truck Simulator with a new map release with an associated event and two annual events to take part in as well. The main event was Cruising the Balkans which tied delivering to or from 15 cities in the existing Road to the Black Sea map with also delivering to or from 15 cities in the new West Balkans map. There were two World of Trucks Achievements to be earned along with 5 new Steam Achievements to be collected as well๐Ÿ˜… This scene comes from the Road to the Black Sea map and shows Rovinari Power Station…

…Located to the northwest of Craiova in Romania. The real life power station is Lignite fired and has had sulphur filters fitted to reduce pollution. Decommissioning is planned by 2030. I mentioned two annual events that were taking place last month – There was the Happy Hauloween event and also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In this shot my truck is wearing a special Ribbon of Hearts livery for that event ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

On the Photo PC I have a shot taken in the early evening gloom of a London St. Pancras bound East Midland Railways Class 222 approaching Cricklewood…

…The class 222’s are the mainstay of services on the route from Derby, Sheffield and Nottingham. EMR have ordered 33 Class 810 units which will replace these units starting in 2024. The future of the 222’s is uncertain but they will probably find work with other operators as they are only 20 years old. Looking beyond the train you can see a station in the distance – That is Brent Cross West and it has not yet opened for passengers. A new build station, it is now scheduled to open on December 10th.

Finally, I have a new wallpaper on my Moto g50 mobile phone as of yesterday! Taken on a wet day at Poplar station, we see a Docklands Light Railway service approaching from the east…

…and dwarfed by the high-rise buildings now surrounding the lines. Much of this area of London is subject to ongoing regeneration. The photo was taken on my Fujifilm X-Pro2 and transferred to the Moto.
