Middle of the month and it’s time to share my desktop(s) for Clare’s Challenge. Clare has a host of photos in a montage from a recent visit to Carnarvon Gorge and it’s well popping over to read her posts about the visitππ Anyway, back to the matter in hand…
Last month I started with the Photo PC which caused some consternation as I usually do the Gaming PC first. This month I’m on the correct PC so we’ll restore the old order…
On the Gaming PC this month I have a screenshot from Euro Truck Simulator 2. This is a night time view from the cab of Lena – my DAF Next Generation XG…
…We’re hauling a load of tree saplings in containers from Seville to Bordeaux and approaching the Madrid ring-road. Early morning traffic is quite busy and I’ve eased back on the speed a little. Lena is a pleasant truck to drive and she’s demonstrating good fuel economy at an average of 23.5l/100km – so I’m really pleased with her ππ
On the Photo PC we have a view of the tracks at the Kent end of London Bridge Station…
…a shot I took on the 30th April. It’s quite a warm day and the heat haze is emphasized by the long telephoto lens. The approaching train, 700002, is a Thameslink service running from Rainham to Luton. In a trick of the very long lens, the tracks in the background appear more curved than they are in reality and, in another trick, the train is going to arrive on the right hand side of the platform I’m standing onπ The Chimney on the left belongs to South East London Combined Heat and Power and is not far from New Cross (where I visited last Thursday) – Two and a half miles away!
