This has been a hectic week and it will spill over into the weekend…

My son, God bless, has asked that his lady comes to live with us while they try to find a housing solution of their own. At the base level this is not a major issue – I think we’re both happy that they seem to be forming a long term relationship. On a higher level, this means a significant change in the way our lives and our spaces operate within the home.

So this week, Alasdair and I have swapped his bedroom for my office. That meant taking my computing offline and re-routing the ethernet cabling. Then there was the bed, all the wardrobes and other furniture… It has taken us two days of work so far and there will be a lot of outstanding things like my bookshelves in his new room. That will take several weeks to work out and I hope his Lady will understand why these things are not easy. But, I think 1.5 days offline was actually a good result with the level of work involved and my Son now knows that his Dad is an excellent Floorboard lifter, Cabler and Planner πŸ˜‚

Some poor quality photos to give you a laugh…

Of course, all that work required copious amounts of Tea…

Apologies for camera-shake etc above – I’m really not a mobile phone person πŸ˜… Reconnecting it all was done this morning hence I can now post… Hope to catch up tomorrowπŸ‘

Definitely a day when we Change Everything – Please enjoy this from Del Amitri…

    1. Thanks Brian πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ Now we have to find how we work as a family… Though, hopefully they will find a place of their own promptly. Currently, I have to reprogramme my brain to go to the right Office – Preferably before Saturday evening when Isis arrives πŸ˜…

      1. Are you going to move everything back when they find their own place?
It could lead to a moment that no one wants going onto the wrong room. Maybe paint the door a different colour or put a sign Martin Keep Out πŸ˜‚

      2. Now I’m here, that will become the norm – No plans to move back. Not sure a sign would work as it’s ingrained… Just have to talk to my self a lot while going about my business so the memory gets re-written…. Fingers crossed 🀞
