Brilliant gallery! The train station and train tracks look amazingly as do the stained glass windows of St Thomas of Canterbury.

Love seeing the old buildings and how much work must have gone into making them back so long ago. Beautiful stained glass windows, too.

  Glad you enjoyed Barbara 😎👍 Think about St Pancras too – That roof was the largest single-span roof in the world when constructed in 1867.

  Thanks Brian – Glad I gave you a laugh 😎👍 Of course I do love my club and the trains to a level that probably classes as devotion so it’s a religion in itself.
  
  I can’t recall where I read the ‘Steam in our Time…’ quote but it summed up the British Railways board in 1948 when they decided to build new steam locos instead of moving straight to diesels and electric – something they would begin doing just 5 years later resulting in much wasted money and effort on locos that would see less than 20 years of service.

    I know a religion when I see it 😂 I wonder if other found the subtlety in those photos.
    There have been major transport stuff ups in history

  Thanks Dan 😎👍 I find peace at railway stations in much the same way as others find peace in a church so it seemed right in the context of the challenge.
