Now Dan wants some low angle below shots – Let’s see what we can find for this weeks Fun Foto Challenge 😎👍

Back in 2015 Kingstonian FC were based at their Kingsmeadow ground in Norbiton. The ground was unusual for the Isthmian League in having sunken terracing at one end allowing photos from close to level with the playing surface. A Kingstonian striker passes our keeper Bobby Smith but failed to score on this occasion…

Kingstonian 3 vs Wingate & Finchley 2

…Kingstonian would win 3-2 on the day.

Also below the surrounding ground level for this one…

Margate FC’s ground is another where it’s possible to be lower than the players as the surrounding land dips sharply away from the pitch. In this shot Wingate & Finchley’s Luke Deslandes gets a cross in from the wing…

Margate 2 vs Wingate & Finchley 1 (2023/24)

…On the day Margate won 2-1 but it wasn’t enough to save them and they were relegated the following weekend while Wingate & Finchley made it to the play-offs.

Finally – Here’s my Son, Alasdair, receiving his degree certificate…

  1. A wonderful gallery Martin. Congratulations to Alasdair

    1. Thanks Brian 😎👍 Alasdair graduated in 2023 with a 2/1 in Cyber Security.

      1. I wondered that it seemed familiar but thought he may have done another degree

      2. Same shot as published back in September 2023 but I thought it fitted the challenge on this occasion and I don’t think Dan has seen it. It took Alasdair 6 months of applying and attending interviews after graduating before he found a Computing support job. It’s hard to believe that he’s been in work for over a year now!

      3. I’m glad he persevered. Bet he is happy now he is working and has an income

      4. Yes, very 😎 Of course, he then spends quite a bit on gaming things and travels off to Leicester most weekends to be with his girlfriend 🤣 But he does now pay a monthly ‘home maintenance fee’ 😅👍

      5. I was a boomerang child too and paid my way at home
