Dan’s asking us to crane our necks and probably crick them too for this week’s Fun Foto Challenge. I think this will be an opportunity for some processing trickery to be included 😅

As an example of that, here’s some of the trainshed girders at St Pancras station – Solarised and then converted to b&w…

Tall buildings make us look up – University College Hospital…

And sometimes encourage us to play – a pseudo charcoal drawing effect applied to some flats on the Edgware Road…

Structures too – The Crystal Palace TV Mast…

Our Feathered Friends often attract our attention and admiration as they soar effortlessly – A Red Kite circles over a football match in West Drayton, probably hoping for a player to get injured😅 …

While a Herring Gull, flying much lower, watches for carelessly held chips and burgers…

Folkestone Invicta 5 vs Wingate & Finchley 0 (2017/18)

Less elegant but also commanding of our attention, aircraft pass overhead at low…

…In lowest to highest order: Piper Saratoga G-CPMW over Cheshunt, BAe 146 ZE700 of the Queens Flight over my home and Boeing 767 UR-AZD of Azur Air Ukraine also over my home.

I guess the Gulls heading to roost over Met Police’s football ground can put this post to bed…

  1. Those are excellent photos (especially for this prompt) and I like the effects that you added. My favorite is the trainshed girders (which I first read as tarnished). I love seeing structural elements like that. I had to laugh at the Kite circling, waiting for a player to get hurt. I hope you’re having a great week. Thanks for supporting CFFC.

    1. Thanks Dan 😎👍 Hope to be back for next week’s view from below 👍
