Middle of the month and time to once more join in with Clare’s Share Your Desktop Challenge
My Moto g50 has a different desktop – a photo taken with the phone of a Bimson DAF taken during one of my morning exercise walks…
…The quality isn’t all that but then I bought the phone for communications not photos 🤣
Continuing in the normal sequence with the Gaming PC, I’ve got a screenshot from Pallegney in Farming Simulator 25…
…In this view I’m fertilizing a grass field belonging to a neighbour using my Kubota M8 tractor and the Bredal K105 spreader. This field sits beside Le Durbion which passes through the commune of Pallegney shortly before it flows into the Moselle. The grass field on the opposite side of the river is mine. The bridge carries Rue des Fours À Chaux across the river. The building is a small garage selling fuel – IRL it’s just a dwelling but the game needs places to refuel tractors. Apart from some changes of this nature, much of the in-game scenery closely resembles the real life Pallegney including the field and road patterns.
On the Photo PC I have a shot from the North London Line taken from Hampstead Heath Station…
…The view shows a Class 378 unit operating a Stratford to Clapham Junction service entering Hampstead Heath Tunnel as 66715 emerges with the Mossend Down Yard to Dagenham Dock Reception cars empties. 66715 carries the name ‘Valour’ in memory of all railway employees that gave their lives for their country. Connecting Hampstead Heath and Finchley Road & Frognal stations, the tunnel is 1,166yards in length and passes through a mound ancient sea and glacial deposits that form one of the highest areas of North London. The trains emerge into this short cutting which passes between areas of housing in close proximity to the line – the girders were added to give further support to the walls when 25Kv electrification was carried out in the 1980’s.
