Middle of the month and time to join in with Clare’s Share Your Desktop Challenge

As usual, lets begin with the Gaming PC. This month I have a screenshot from American Truck Simulator. On April 3rd SCS Software released a new map DLC for the state of Missouri. As usual with these releases there were a number of new achievements to be collected and a community event which is ongoing. The individual requirements for the community event were to deliver to or from every city modelled in the state. Come Saturday evening I only had two cities left to complete my personal quota for the event – The state capital, Jefferson City, and Joplin. I delivered a load to Jefferson and then was lucky enough to get a load to Joplin immediately. It was there that I captured this screenshot…

…My Western Star 5700XE ‘Zephyr’ posing beside a Route 66 mural in the city of Joplin. A fitting conclusion to the day’s drive. Of course, the event continues and now I’m driving for the community 😎👍

On the Photo PC I have a photograph of the Dagenham Dock to Garston Cars – a delivery of new Ford vehicles imported from the continent…

…Seen on the Gospel Oak – Barking line at South Tottenham. Leading the train is 66312 ‘Nigel Harris’ – itself an import having been initially owned by Railion Nederland from 2006. Now owned by GBRf, it was modified for UK use by Brush in Loughborough and at Doncaster Works before entering service in July 2024. The lines joining from the right provide a connection to Stratford.

  1. Well, will you look at that! Your Western Star 5700XE ‘Zephyr’ posing beside a mural in Joplin fooled me (again!) 🤣 I’m still gob smacked at the realism of these simulators you play, Martin. At least I know the photo from your Photo PC is not trying to lull me into a false sense of security. Thank you for sharing these with me and (as usual) joining gin on the SYD fun.

    1. Thanks Clare 😎👍 You might be seeing some Farming next month 😅
