Suggesting breakfast — CFFC

Into a new week with Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge hosted by Dan 👍 We’re looking for Breakfast suggestions and I was remembering going down ‘The Dog’ – a Lebanese run café in Paddington that we used to frequent for a Brunch when doing Saturday overtime! Of course, that wasn’t its real name – just our nickname back in the day. The food was tasty but probably not very good for us! 🤣 Given that many people take Coffee as their ‘Breakfast’ lets use that as our main cue…

Coffee certainly suggests breakfast, but I’d hate to be disappointed.

  It’s always interesting to hear people talking about their preferred coffee vendor… Costa, Nero and Pret are often the preferred choice over Starbucks among the serious bean drinkers. Cooked breakfasts seem to largely be enjoyed only by manual workers – the office types go for Croissants, etc… Breakfasts have become the boundary of a ‘Class War’ – Who’d have thought it! 🤣

    I used to take sandwiches from this place to a few coworkers in the office. They loved the sandwiches, but I’m pretty sure none of them would step into this diner. Some wouldn’t even drive into this part of the city.

    It’s funny how these things work isn’t it 😅 As telephone engineers, we used to enjoy our meal breaks together and also our beers together but outside of work we were pretty private.

A coffee vendor at a station would have to be efficient and fast.
Starbucks is like Fosters beer, everyone knows about it but no one drinks it or likes it unless desperate 😂

  They need to be more than fast at St Pancras – They need to be good too! It’s basically a shopping mall downstairs with a host of other coffee vendors including some specialist up-market ones and couple of pubs that also sell coffee. Plenty of choice for bean-chasers 😅
  
  Your mentions of Fosters reminded me of the Men at Work ‘Down Under’ video where the tinnies seem to be used more as a slapstick tool than a drink 🤣
