Middle of the month and time to join in with Clare’s Share Your Desktop ChallengeπŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

On the Gaming PC this month I have a screenshot from Way of the Hunter…

…Two Whitetail Deer females – part of a larger herd – crossing a stream where they had come to drink. The distance shown by the binoculars is to the distant bank – the deer were just over 30m from me and unaware of my presence. The herd comprised one mature female and a mix of adult and young animals. We normally cull low value mature males in order to improve the quality of the gene pool, so I just sat there and enjoyed the view as the herd drifted past. The text on the top left of the screen refers to one of the early in-game tasks – (I recently restarted my save as there have been a lot of changes and improvements) – rather than my activity for this shot.

Sticking with a somewhat pastoral theme, on the Photo PC we have a shot of the South Downs in mid-August near Brighton…

South Downs

…Taken on the way home from a football match, we are looking north-east from the B2123. The town of Lewes can be seen nestling in a valley on the right. The farmland is a mix of arable and grazing. Last season’s crops have already been harvested and work is under way to sow winter crops.

  1. South Downs is a great landscape πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Brian πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

  2. For once, I wasn’t fooled into thinking the virtual was the reality 🀣 (and it had nothing to do with the writing onscreen). Thank you so much for sharing these with me, Martin, and as usual, joining in on the SYD fun.

    1. np Clare, glad you enjoyed themπŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ As you can see, I don’t shoot everything I see… In fact, sometimes it becomes a walking simulator🀣

      1. Oh, ‘a walking simulator’ had me laughing 🀣 I’m about to post about ‘real’ walking.

  3. […] Deers and paddocks feature in Martin’s desktops this month but for once I wasn’t fooled into thinking the virtual was the reality. […]
