Martin, you might like this little backyard railway http://breathelighter.wordpress.com/2013/10/23/all-aboard-part-deux/ and check the previous post 🙂

Hi Christine – yes, I read the first one and was waiting for the follow-on article, so thanks for the heads-up 🙂

I fell in love with it at first sight. Now I want one.

If the big storm is also heading up river, be safe!
Wishes for you and your family —-
Thanks Judith – we battened down the hatches yesterday but it hasn’t been quite as bad as forecast in the London area. It has caused travel disruption with lots of trees on roads and railways but hopefully everything will be back to normal in the morning.

Martin, a favourite view of the river. I love the barge. The Thames still works hard, doesn’t it?
-
Yes it’s still very much a working waterway though it’s mostly waste removal. This could be destined for the waste terminal at Southwark or more likely Battersea.

I forget how big the Thames is! A wonderful panorama Martin!
-
Thanks Patti – it’s just a sleepy stream compared with The Rhine! 😉
