Summer’s Banshees
scream across
blue evening skies
Invisible in the haze
of long summer days
and petrol-fumed
barbeque smoke
Shrill shrieks, Send shivers
Set teeth on edge
of those unsuspecting
un-realising souls below

    1. It is a particularly piercing scream and can be disconcerting if you don’t know the source πŸ˜‰

  2. I can picture it, so well done! πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you so much πŸ™‚ I’d love to photograph them but always too high and too fast!
