Thank you – I found the dead snail on our sundial a couple of summers back and thought it would make a good image.

Thanks Judith – all three presented themselves as opportunities for an image. Pseudo-HDR processing has been applied to each image to enhance color and detail. The 1st and third shots were taken with a 60mm Macro lens. The pavement shot was taken with the standard zoom.

Thank you Debra. The snail was sadly very much deceased. Quite how and why it died there I don’t know but it adds a sense of the passage of time to a device that indicates the passing hours.
