At least your great train looks as though it is running Martin, we have had all sorts of fun and games with cancellations etc because of the rain. Whatever!

When mother nature chooses to flex her muscles I’m afraid that railway routes which follow river valleys will always be a risk – Cowley Bridge junction to the north of Exeter is a classic for flooding; and that’s despite the Exwick Flood Channel which was completed in 1977! At least we don’t normally get hurricanes – though that’s no compensation for those who are flood victims 😦 Of course, railworks trains don’t suffer from these natural annoyances 😉
