  1. This is so graphical. Shoes for the mother and then toys for the kid. You never really know which one they are aiming for.

  2. Hi Rommel – thanks for popping in. How about a third option… Shoes for the child? 😉

    1. Ahihihi … Two possibilities for the kid … one for the parent …. errrr? that sounds about right 😀

  3. yes, shopping, the modern religion 🙂

    1. Naah! Football is 😉 A valid point Frizztext with all the shops opening on Sundays. We don’t shop in Tesco’s anymore – my wife was very unimpressed that they opened on Easter Sunday. Doesn’t bother me – I prefer Waitrose anyway 🙂

  4. That baby on BOARD looks BORED. 😀

    1. Almost certainly Nancy… Weren’t we all when Momma took us to the Mall? 😉

Nice to hear from you in your present circumstances – keep your chin up and remember our thoughts are with you all.

      1. Thanks, Martin. I spoke with my parents this morning. Dad thinks he will be BORED (like that baby) at Sunrise. Mom didn’t say much about the shift.

I’m more upset than they are by the pending change. How very un-enlightened of me. 😉

      2. Nancy, the only advice I can offer is that you accept that it’s their decision to make and not one that you should feel in any way responsible for.

I don’t know how you deal with the boredom issue. Is your Dad able to read, draw, use a computer? Perhaps he could start a blog (a hint to your friends could result in him getting messages from all over the world). If he likes reading, get him an eReader like Kindle – I’ve doubled my reading since getting one! Of course, this all assumes that the facility allows their residents to use computers, etc. Sorry if this wasn’t helpful, it’s difficult to know what to say from a long distance.

      3. You are a nice man, Martin. Thanks for your thoughts. 😀

Dad loves reading and will take books with him. He also loves watching ball games. I expect that he will find the environment MORE stimulating than being home all day ~ maybe he’ll like it so much that he persuades mom to join him.

      4. Well, I’d guess that he’ll find lots of other ‘inmates’ watching the ball game too – they may argue about which game to watch but, in my experience, a ball game is a ball game at the end of the day! Your Mom and Dad will sort it out, don’t worry 🙂

  5. Fantastic piece, Martin 😀 Hope that little one does indeed get a toy for all that patience…

  6. Excellent work Martin for Letter S ,Thumbs up 🙂

  7. I keep feeling that this is a collage set-up that you’ve created —
like an artist setting up a still life —
and not simply an opportunistic photo.
    ?

    1. Hi Judith – it is a candid photo taken in a department store in central London. I was eyeing up the lighting and its effect on the raised letters with a view to an abstract shot when the young lady walked into the frame at which point it became a must take 🙂

  8. Good one! Some can’t have enough shoes and shopping!

    1. Thanks Fergiemoto – I know what you mean about the shoes… My wife is a collector 😉

  9. I was never a fan for shoe shopping so I’ll be in the toy store.

    1. Seems good to me 🙂

  10. She sells shoes by the toy store…
    (or something like that).
    Nice piece, Martin!
    🙂

    1. LoL Bob – took me a few seconds to get with the beat of that one 😉 Thanks for the kind comment 🙂
