Running late with this entry for Clare’s Share your Desktop Challenge so apologies for that…
On the Gaming PC this month I have a shot of Éowyn, our Scania S500, in Norway…
…She’s seen crossing the Feda Fjord bridge on the way from Hamburg to Bergen. On this trip we were doing contract work for another company hence, not hauling our own trailer. Captured on 11th November, the existing Scandinavian map has since been updated in preparation for the new Nordic Horizons DLC that is due to release on Thursday. So I wonder if this view has seen any changes.
On the Photo PC I have a shot of 66592 at Crouch Hill…
…hauling a London Gateway to Ditton intermodal service. This was taken on October 28th while I was hunting down what Autumn colour I could find. Freightliner’s green and yellow goes quite well with the surrounding vegetation though the same can’t be said of the containers behind! Change is afoot as Freightliner is being split in two with the heavy haul arm being retained by the current owners. The Intermodal side is passing to the French shipping company CMA CGM and it will be interesting to see what colours they choose to paint their locos in. Changing a fleet’s livery is not a sudden thing – It’s a bit like The Shire where “change comes slowly. If it comes at all.” 😅
No change to my mobile desktop as the 455’s are still just about hanging on – Maybe it will change in January.
