Coming a bit late to the party but as we’re now past the middle of July, it’s time to join in with Clare’s Share Your Desktop Challenge.

On the Gaming PC this month I have a screenshot from American Truck Simulator…
…The sun is rising on an overcast morning in Iowa as I drive my Mack Anthem ‘Chance’ west along Interstate 80 with a Planter on a dropdeck trailer. The job originated at X-Tech Machinery in Burlington and we’re heading to Council Bluffs and the Evergreen farm there – around 330 miles. Our destination, Council Bluffs, reminded me of the C.W.McCall track Lewis and Clark…
…Council Bluffs gets a mention in the second verse and that’s where you can find Pottawattamie County Sherriff’s Office! Iowa is the latest state to be added to American Truck Simulator and was released on July 10th – This screenshot was captured on the 12th and became my desktop the same day. As usual we have a set of things to do as individuals and as a community so I’m currently working through those.
On the Photo PC I have a shot that has already appeared on my blog in my last spotting post. On the day, a unique view of ‘The Bakers Dozen – Rebaked’ railtour as it passed South Hampstead station with Class 33 D6515 âLt Jenny Lewis RNâ leading…
…South Hampstead station opened as Loudon Road in 1879. In the shot the overgrown remains of the original platforms of the station on the slow lines from London Euston. The station was expanded in 1922 by the addition of the New DC Lines (out of shot on the left) and renamed South Hampstead. The original platforms were closed during the West Coast Mainline Electrification in the 1960’s. The train has just emerged from Primrose Hill Tunnels. The black steel bridge in front of the tunnels carries the mainline from Marylebone.
Sorry for the delay – I’ve been taking a mental break but starting to find my way again ðð
