I can’t easily do the ‘Pick a number and run that through your photo files’ thing – it doesn’t work that way for me. So for Dan’s CFFC Challenge I’m going with my Brother-in-Law’s age when he passed away last week. Lets find some transport joy to remember him and help him on his journeyπŸ‘

59 – Well here’s a Class 59 locomotive…

59102 at Old Oak Junction

…59102 drifting through Willesden and approaching Old Oak Common junction with empty hoppers.

Here’s Reading Buses number 759 operating route 10…

Class 159 unit 001 seen at Clapham Junction…

159001 at Clapham Junction

And, a long time ago…

DMS18 at Kings Cross APR80

…DMS 18 on the 259 route parked outside Kings Cross station. Hailed as the new ‘Londoner’ bus the Daimler Fleetline’s time in service was short as they weren’t up to London’s requirements – the Routemaster’s they were supposed to replace outlived them. A sad and poignant reminder that time is short for us all.

Sorry that this has been a sad post – I hope you are all doing well and my best wishes to you all πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
