Middle of the month and it’s usually time to join in with Clare’s Share Your Desktop Challenge… But I see that Clare has been trying to confuse me by calling the post Season’s Greetings π€£ It’s full of all sorts of nice Christmassy things π
Unfortunately I have to Bah! Humbug! the Christmas theme on the Gaming PC as SCS Software didn’t start their Christmas Event until this morning π Back on December 4th SCS deployed their latest DLC, bringing Greece to Euro Truck Simulator. So I’ve been busy working on the community event for that and also the various achievements associated with the release. Azyet, the oldest truck in the fleet, picked up the early work for the event of delivering loads to or from all of the cities on the map. Here she is hauling a tanker of milk…
…along the coastal road between Chania and Heraklion on the island of Crete. In the background is the town of Bali. The traffic cop behind is having a dose of wishful thinking if he expects us to get anywhere near breaking the speed limit on this climb with a 26t loadπ€£
The Photo PC isn’t very Christmassy either. I currently have a photo from September…
…That’s September 1975! The photo was taken at Reading – a popular Saturday destination for spotters some of whom you can see on platform 5, left of the photo. On the right 47101 is getting the power down on its train of containers as it passes through platform 4. The headcode on the loco, 4O65, tells me this was going to the Southern Region so it’s safe to assume that it was bound for Southampton. It’s amusing to see both the Driver and Secondman leaning into the corner π€£
No change to my mobile phone desktop this month.
