Middle of the month and time to once again join in with Clare’s Share Your Desktop Challenge 😀👌 Well, at least while I’m doing that, I’m not wittering-on about railway history – a hint that once again there’s no trains this month🤣

On the Gaming PC I have a Pink Pinnacle…

…Only introduced into American Truck Simulator just over a month ago, this is the truck my company has needed for a long time. It’s ideally suited to the rough work that we do – delivering machinery and supplies to building sites and farms and shifting agricultural produce. The truck was initially painted green but with the coming of October it has been painted pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month or #Pinktober. I’ve even got a pink ribbon and teddy in the cab…

…This is one of those events we as a community take part in every year – raising awareness with our posts to social media sites throughout the month. New players can also buy a special DLC of paint jobs for trucks and trailers, all the proceeds from which go to Breast Cancer charities. The Pinnacle doesn’t have a name yet but I’ll think of something😎

On the photo PC I have a last reminder of our holiday in Madeira 6 weeks ago…

Horarios do Funchal 238 (AR-59-HR) Rua 5 de Outubro

…Horarios do Funchal 238 descending Rua 5 de Outubro while working the 15B route from Galeão (Escola) into Funchal Centro. We’re missing the warmth as October brings the winter chills to London. It’s back to the cold of the football terraces for me as the season gets into full gear. It’ll soon be time for gloves when taking photographs🙄😅

  1. I did think the first one was real – initially 🤣 – but then the second one made me realise the error of my way. (Yeah, I was looking not reading as usual.) Thank you so much for share these with me, Martin, and, as usual, joining in on the SYD fun.

    1. I think the angle of view on the first screenshot suggested it was taken by someone standing by the roadside with a camera. Glad you liked them Clare 😎👍

      1. It’s everything about it – the road signs, those yellow, crash attenuator bins (at least I think that’s what they are), the vending machine, the truck behind, the teddy bear on the dashboard – all the little, realistic details that tricked me (as usual) 🤣.

      2. SCS do a great job of making things as believable as possible. Apart from fictional advertisers and some buildings carrying a different name to the IRL one, most things that make it into the game are very accurately modelled. Even the trees have become beautiful and individual!

  2. […] usual, huge thanks go out to Brian, Deb, Martin, Graham, and Cathy. I hope you all know how much I appreciate you joining in on the fun last month. […]
