Middle of the Month and time to join in with Clare’s Share Your Desktop Challenge 😎

On the Gaming PC and a precursor for an upcoming Bure Valley Farm post, we have a shot of lime being applied to a freshly ploughed field…

…This is our John Deere 7810 tractor with the Bredal K105 spreader. The field required around 28k ltrs of Lime to correct the pH value and make it ready for sowing in the spring – the scale in the top left corner shows the application rate. This will be the last work in this field until spring when I intend to sow a Soya crop.

On the Photo PC we have an image that reminds us of the recent winter months and the days when it never seemed to stop raining…

387107 at Finsbury Park

…387107 cautiously approaching Finsbury Park with a service for King’s Cross in some of that nasty drizzle that makes rails and platforms very slippery. This is not a purist rail enthusiast shot – too much environment for many, but I liked the way that the lights form an honour guard for the train.

  1. Oh Martin. I love that shot of the 387107 cautiously approaching Finsbury Park. It has an ethereal beauty to it. Thank you so much for sharing these with me and, as usual, joining in on the SYD fun πŸ₯° It’s always great to see what you’re looking at.

    1. Thanks Clare πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ It was a bit of a ghostly day because the line was shut north of Stevenage and no long distance trains were running. Add in the rain and we have the surreal train in the mist.

      1. Surreal for sure πŸ₯°

  2. Love the train photo Martin πŸ‘πŸ˜€

    1. Thanks Brian πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
