Middle of the month and time to join in Clare’s Share Your Desktop Challenge π
On the Gaming PC this month I have a screenshot from Way of The Hunter…
This view is from the Transylvania map, high up on a mountainside looking across a valley. There are Red Deer, Roe Deer and Wolves to be found up here but no animals are visible in this shot – I was just enjoying the viewπ Hunting in this game is very challenging – the Deer in particular are very alert and easily spooked so you have to tread with caution and often laying in wait near where they feed or drink is the only way you will get to have a chance to down an animal. The game also encourages ethical hunting – you are expected to cull older low quality animals to gradually improve the gene pool. And, if you don’t want to actually hunt – It’s a fine walking simulatorπ€£
On the Photo PC I have a shot of Lillie Bridge Depot…
Lillie Bridge Depot was built by the Metropolitan District Railway in 1871 to maintain their trains. Superseded by a new depot at Ealing Common, it was then used to house Piccadilly Line trains from 1905 until Northfields depot opened in 1932. In recent years it has been used by the engineering department. Although still officially in use, it is scheduled to close in 2024 as part of the Earls Court regeneration Scheme.
The triangular building behind is the Empress State Building – Built on the site of the Empress Hall, it was intended to be a hotel but wound up being used by the Admiralty from 1962. Renovated in 2003, three floors and a circular bar were added to the top of the building. It is currently occupied by the Metropolitan Police.
