Alasdair is home and we’ve spent a lovely evening listening to some music together. Here’s a bit of the mix that we’ve listened too…

There’s an excellent Japanese girl band called Tokyo Groove Jyoshi – here performing Miles Davis’ So What…

…I only discovered them because Alasdair played me Cowboy Bebop from one of his Anime shows and YouTube’s algorithm seems to have found a correlation between my listening to that and my pre-history of jazz and blues to point me this way! And I have to admit… Juna Serita, playing the 5-string bass, also gets my male hormones going – ok, that’s embarrassing😅

We’ll stay with the bass and the funky – anyone remember Bootsy Collins? Viewed as one of the great Funk Bassists though you’ll not hear too much evidence in this track released a couple of years back – still, it’s fun, which is what Bootsy is about😎👍
