   These are truly beautiful black and white photos, Martin. They provided an interesting focus. I took a train, Amtrak Coast Starlight, from Los Angeles to Oakland this past week. It took twelve wonderful hours to travel what takes me six to drive. But it was simply wonderful!

      Thanks Debra 🙂 It sounds like you have had a wonderful railway adventure – I look forward to reading about it. It’s an interesting opposite to the UK where long distance rail journeys are normally quicker than using the car.
