A worn, dark, overcoat
Of twilight hangs
On a new day’s dawn
As Summer hurries into Autumn
And August’s passion is spent
In one last hot flush
before leaves brown
And fruits fall to earth
As Nature prepares
behind a veil of mists
To sleep once more

  1. Sounds like New England to me 🙂

    1. I suspect New England and England have much in common when Summer turns to Autumn! Thanks for popping by and commenting 🙂
