Virtual Road Trip

As a change driving Railway Locomotives and flying Spaceships, I have recently moved onto the roads and the world of trucking. It’s all Alasdair’s fault! He and his friends discovered Euro Truck Simulator 2 on offer from Steam and decided to buy it. Finding that it can be configured to use a joystick and throttle, I decided to buy it too. And then… I couldn’t resist getting American Truck Simulator as well! So now I have two virtual truck companies that I hope will grow over time and become successful businesses. Based in London is Addison’s of Barnet whilst in Bakersfield, CA, is Chisum Trucking. One nice touch in the games is the ability to turn on internet radio whilst driving with a selection of stations applicable to the area. So in Europe I’m listening to Veronica Rock – a Dutch station which plays rock and blues and is fitting as I will be travelling to Amsterdam and Rotterdam quite a lot. While driving in the USA I tune into American Road Radio which plays a mix of Rock, Blues and Country music – A fitting selection when driving a Kenworth 🙂
