      Thanks Patti – this was a colour slide where the camera had struggled with the light and the white of the coach resulting in colours that weren’t right. HDR monochrome conversion turned the ugly duckling into a swan!

      The photo was taken at Wath-upon-Dearne during a visit by the Royal Corps of Trainspotters to the loco depot in November 1980. Sadly, the mines in the background and the railway line itself were to close just 5 years later resulting in massive unemployment in the area.
