A Forward is a footballer in Association Football whose playing position is normally closest to the opposition goal. In the commonly used 4-4-2 system of play, there are two Forward’s one of which will act as primary Striker whilst the other will tend to operate in a support role. The Striker will normally score most goals for a team in any season.

Thanks Judith – I find certain colors tend to sing on dull days. Reds and oranges particularly so. (It’s worth noting that Network Rail insist on Orange Hi-Viz jackets for trackside workers) 🙂
